ECO THERAPY - NATURE, THE WORLDS BEST HEALER
The very best I ever feel is after getting out of the sea, running down the beach, a beach bootcamp or beach yoga class or a 2 hour hike, or bike ride. A natural high. An elevation in mood and a new readiness to take on the day with a new perspective. An improved and a more positive energy.
Why?
Because connecting with nature is a gift to heal and cleanse our minds from the rigours of the world. From technology. Modern life is set up that our minds crave continuous and constant stimulation. Our ‘rest’ is being trapped on our phones, or on the unlimited world of SMART TV. This is not rest. The mind is still active, over active. As with our bodies, if we’re not giving the mind chance to recover it will burn out, give up and start to get consumed by negativity.
If you’re feeling low first thing in the morning the best remedy is to get outside. 10 minutes, breathe some fresh air, get some early vitamin D and up regulate your mood, your mind and your energy.
Connecting with nature, doing activities as a team, getting vitamin D has a huge impact on mental health and well being, our bodies hormones, and the chemistry of your mind. So give it a go! Get outside. Run into the wind. Re-wire, reset your body and liberate yourself from the dominance of your craving busy mind.
This May and September we are running our reboot retreats in the South of France. Activities include Hiking in the Pyrenees, Surfing, Cycling, Kayaking, Forest Hikes or Runs, outdoor breath workshops, Meditation, Massage, Foraging , Beach and pool relaxing. A perfect opportunity for eco therapy!
